- Second degree "Black Belt" and Self Defense Instructor.
- Volunteer for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation 1993-1994: Service included educating members on the disease and treatment.
- Provided preventative education in H.I.V for the Vida y Movimiento program in San Francisco.
